About

The Redtail Ridge Metropolitan District and Redtail Ridge Metropolitan District Nos. 1, 2, and 4 (the “Districts”) are Title 32 Special Districts that have been established for the purpose of financing and installing street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, transportation, mosquito control, safety protection, and television relay and translation improvements of the Districts, and the provision of covenant enforcement and design review, and security services;  and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Amended and Restated Service Plan for each District approved by the City of Louisville on August 20, 2024, as they may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit the taxpayers of the Districts. The Districts are located in the City of Louisville, Boulder County, Colorado. The Districts are quasi-municipal political subdivisions of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the City of Louisville and Boulder County do not provide.

The Districts, collectively, may incur a maximum debt of $228,079,821.20. The Districts may use general ad valorem property taxes, specific ownership taxes, fees, and any other legally available revenue to repay such debt.

The Districts may assess a maximum mill levy of fifty (50) mills, as adjusted to account for changes in the method of calculating assessed valuation or any constitutionally mandated tax credit, cut, or abatement occurring after January 1, 2020, to repay such debt.

The Districts must file an Annual Report with the City of Louisville, the Division of Local Government, the State Auditor, and the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder.

The Districts’ boundaries overlap with the boundaries of Boulder County, Boulder Valley School District, City of Louisville, Louisville Fire District, Northern Colorado Water District, Regional Transportation District, and Urban Drainage & Flood Control District.
